David Gordon Green
A fast and loose interview with David Gordon Green, one of the best young directors in America, and a graduate of Richardson High School, I believe, for the Dallas folks. People who have seen George Washington or All the Real Girls know what I'm talking about. He has a big year coming up, first with the in-limited-release Snow Angels, followed by a Judd Apatow collaboration, The Pineapple Express. I'm sure he's hoping that that is his ticket into movies that actually have budgets.

E Weekly loved Snow Angels
I am very excited to see Snow Angels. I too, think Green is one of the best young directors out there. The opening scene from All The Real Girls is as good as it gets. And along with George Washington it incorporates a light hearted humor in a rather dark story.
I think thats what didn't connect with me as much in Undertow which I thought was a very good film. I understand it didn't lend itself to humor as much as his first two, still it felt something was missing.
Hearing about Sedaris in Snow Angels, even though I've never been a huge fan of hers excites me.
I'm waiting for Snow Angels to get here. All the Real Girls is about as real as first love feels. I love the first scene, too, and the scene at the end where he's talking to his dog in the water.
Watching Undertow, I felt like it just got out of hand, like there's a point in the second half of the film where even Green realizes it's a lost cause. That said, I thought the first half was pretty engaging, and again showed his talent.
I hate that Snow Angels is getting dumped in March, but then again, so did 300 and Zodiac last year. It's not necessarily a bad time of the year for an indie.
