Sex and the City
Jeff Wells gets off a great line against the monomaniacal materialism of Sex and the City, calling the new movie, "A Taliban recruitment film." I haven't seen it, and don't plan to. I once watched 10 minutes of an episode and didn't laugh once. I never went back. A scourge on Western Civilization.

I'm torn between having no interest in this movie, but being a little bothered by the vitriol being flung at it.
Maybe I should just relax and stop thinking about it.
I think there is a lot of sexism thrown at the film, but also that the film is the sole product of corporate marketing for what they believe a product marketed to women should be like, which means the film is liabe to be deeply sexist itself.
K- give the Randroid a call, OK?
If you haven't seen it, how do you know it is a scourge on Western civilization?
Oh, I don't know Matthew. It could be awesome. But I'm sticking with scourge until proven otherwise.
