In a report about Cannes, Pete Hammond (who else?) describes Kung Fu Panda as "stunning." So you're at Cannes, the greatest film festival in the world, and the film you get enthused about is Kung Fu Panda? Stunning.
Due to a recent Federal Trade Commission decision, I think it best to reveal that, yes, I receive free admission to most of the films that I review. This is the standard practice among film reviewers, and it does not affect my opinion. Unless noted otherwise, you should assume that I received free admission. I have never been on a junket and I do not plan to start. Although in the future, it is possible that I might decide to start interviewing actors, directors, etc.

Haha, seriously. Pete Hammond, though, what can we expect?
Everytime I beat up on that guy, I feel a little bad, but then I get over it and live to beat up on him another day.
Could be a super nice guy and a good husband and dad, but he's cancer on film criticism.
My question is whether he's evil or just an idiot. Has he sold out completely or does he just really like the movies he raves about?
Kung Fu Panda could be fine, but yeah, it's Cannes for crapsakes.
I'm already sick of that damn panda telling me to shut off my cell phone. He's already wearing on me. :)
True. The singing frogs from Meet the Robinsons he ain't...
